Ok KeuPon. Now you've got me worried again. With all that stuff going on in Belgium, when are you going to bother to update ZAdjustor???
KeuPon, I'm available for beta testing!!! (Not being pushy here!)
another person hoping this gets an update for 64-bit 4R7. Great tool.
Hello ZPeople !!!
I'm happy to finally give you ZAdjustor 2.1 for 4R7x64 Windows !!!
Nothing new, just ported the DLL on x64, which was less easy than I expected (in fact just a very little bug about some variable type being handled differently between 32 and 64 bits but as it is the first time I do such 32 to 64 bits port I had to check about everything before actually understanding it was that  hehe). Did also some very minor bugfixes. Sorry for the delay, had a lot to deal with, I didn't even play with 4R7 more than one hour beside the time spent on ZAdjustor. I'm now free at last to get hooked on it :).
For Mac users, I'm sorry but nothing new for now, I'll try to make a quick x64 version for version 0.92 so at least the old version will be available on OSx, but for now I can't work on 2.0 OSx. I'll soon get a new machine with an up to date OSx and will fix 2.0 OSx.
> DOWNLOAD :
ZBrush_ZAdjustor_Plugin_v2.1x64_Win.zip
> INSTALL :
Just extract the whole archive right in ZBrush "ZStartup" folder, by default : "C:\Program Files (x86)\Pixologic\ZBrush 4R7\ZStartup". If you have version 2.0 installed for ZBrush 4R7 32bits, you can keep it as the two versions stay in separate folders (the 32bits version is installed in ZStartup\ZPlugs and the 64bit in ZStartup\ZPlugs64).
Hope you'll like it, happy ZModeling, ZSculpting, ZAdjusting and ZAll :)
I was just about to start searching the Belgian monasteries to see if you'd become a monk!!!
Thanks for this great plugin! I can finally put R7x64 on my task bar. Working great as ever and even picked up the hotkey assigned to it from 32bit.
This is a really thoughtfully done program. I love that you have the strength adjusters so that we can fine tune our controls exactly to taste. It really makes a huge difference in these workflow enhancement scripts.
I did have one question. I've been wanting to use the different profiles that you've provided (it would be really handy, for example to have Y control RGB intensity for when I'm doing painting work) but I've never been able to get these to work - even in R6. Whatever profile I choose, the controls always follow the settings in profile 1.
Curious if other users have this issue or not?
Thanks again!
mm
Hi slothskins :)
No becoming monk is not for me, or maybe a trappist (those in the monasteries that brew the best belgian beers)... :)
Thank you and everyone else who showed support :) It's always a pleasure to read kind words like that.
To use the different profiles, you must set a hotkey on each bottommost big button, in fact they are each an independent button per profile. So you select whatever profile you want with the topmost numbered buttons, then you CTRL+ALT+CLICK on the bottom big one to set the hotkey.
Nobody ever complained about that but I hope that's not another thing that works only on my computer (I have an awful HP laptop that is quite a scam, I'll never buy that brand again except for printers). To be sure : when you use the topmost numbered buttons to select the profile, does the bottommost big button have its picture changed ??? If it works like it should, the big button should always display a picture that shows the current profile number (like in the picture shown in the top post, you see profile n°3 selected and the corresponding picture on the big button). Come back to tell if it worked :)
Also, the cursor that "jumps" at the wrong place bug that happened when you used the plugin for the first time quite surprisingly seems to have vanished with x64. I did nothing to solve it while porting to x64, at least purposely, so beware ZBrush magic involved :) (Or maybe that was the bug itself which was in fact some malicious spell and some enemy of mine didn't pay his black magic bill :p).
I count on you guys & girls for testing, do not hesitate to report bugs :)
(And sorry for my clumsy english I'm quite tired I hope it's not too much of a pain to read)
Have a nice ZDay everyone :)
ZAdjustor version summary and download links :
> For ZBrush 4R7 64bits Windows : ZBrush_ZAdjustor_Plugin_v2.1x64_Win.zip
> For ZBrush 4R7/4R6 32bits Windows : ZBrush_ZAdjustor_Plugin_v2.0.zip
> For ZBrush 4R7 64bits OsX : Coming Soon...
> For ZBrush 4R7/4R6 32bits OsX : ZBrush_SizeAjustor_Plugin_v0.92.zip
> Note for Mac users : ZBrush_ZAdjustor_Plugin_v2.0_OSX.zip that you can find on the topmost post isn't working for most people. So far it may work under Mac OsX 10.6 but not on newer versions. OsX users can rely on ZBrush_SizeAjustor_Plugin_v0.92.zip until I fix version 2.0 for OsX. Also, I'll make v0.92 compatible for ZBrush4R7 64bits as soon as I can.
Hi KeuPon,
I think I have it set up correctly. I have hotkey "4" set for profile 1 and hotkey "5" set for profile 2. When I switch between these, the graphics all respond correctly - the "2" shows up in the big button on the bottom, the 2 button is highlighted and the the new parameters are shown. But when I actually use the brush, the settings are always what's stored in profile 1.
This may be a "Belgian only" feature you have built in!
Hoping that other non-Belgian users can confirm.
Thanks,
mm
Thanks KeuPon! I couldn't live without this plugin. I waited for this to support 4R7 before even updating Zbrush.
Sampo > Thanks I really appreciate it :) The original ZAdjustor2.0 is working ok in ZB4R7 32bits, so you could have updated already and only waited for it to use the 64bits version - but like that you'll have all at once :) Merry XMas ;) It's a real pleasure to hear that people acutally like my work and find it useful.
Slothkins > In fact I'm an heretic with a french keyboard but keep it for yourself ;) Strange that you've got the buttons behaving correctly but not the profiles parameters themselves, I asked a few people today and nobody reported the same issue. One thing you could try : go in both ZAdjustor subfolder (in ZStartup\ZPlugs\ZAdjustor and ZStartup\ZPlugs64\ZAdjustor) and delete the files named ZAdjustorProfile1.zvr, ZAdjustorProfile2.zvr, ... This are the files in which ZAdjustor stores the parameters, one for each profile. So you will lose your ZAdjustor preferences and it will make you clean new ones when you'll set your preferences again. Please try and let me know if it solved your problem :)
Cheers from belgium !!!
Hi KeuPon,
My mistake! I reread your instructions again and I've misunderstood how you structured the profile features.
I use S as a hotkey for Zadjustor. I had assigned hotkeys to the profile buttons, thinking that would allow me to cycle to different profiles, but still use the S key as my Zadjustor hotkey. Now I realize how you have it and it makes sense (You need to hold down a separate key for each profile you want to use).
Great job! Zadjustor64 is fully operational!
And I agree about Belgian beers - I had a Belgian wheat that was probably the tastiest beer I ever had. I also really like Hercule Poirot, even though he's a fake Belgian. And the Smurfs rule (the Peyo version I mean).
Looking forward to the 64-bit Mac version. Great plugin
Thanks cgbeige !!!
I'll make 0.92 compatible with 4R7x64 OsX as soon as I can. I think the next few days.
slothkins > Happy to hear that :) Sorry if you misunderstood the plugin is not difficult to use but a little complex to be explained as I'm not a native english speaker. Next version I'll add a warning on the profile selection buttons saying that's not the ones for the hotkeys. Maybe a better help too. Enjoy your 6 profiles :) (If you want more, I went for 6 profiles as almost no one will use more than 2, but adding more is a very minor change in the code so I can easily make a 30 or 80 profiles custom version ;))
Have a nice ZUnday everyone :)
many thanks, KeuPon!
Awesome Plugin :D
Thank you KeuPon!
