Thanks guys! Appreciated!
rasmusW - I used Arnold for maya for this one. Yep be on the lookout, should have more work coming up soon.
Hey here is some screenshots from inside Zbrush.
Also you can view a 4k Arnold render here: http://payload269.cargocollective.co...5mb_v001_o.jpg
Nice work. I'm curious as to how you did all the details on the face, shoulders & chest of your creature. Any techniques or special alphas that were used or is it all just standard brushes and a lot of time?
Very cool and nice and clean.
Amazing... Damm how u create that face details with all that holes and flesh? Really amazing job ;)
Thanks guys!
I used mainly the standard brush, slash, damian standard. All the brushes I tweaked a bit here and there to fit my liking better.
But yeah no special tricks really. Just a lot of time. Alphas was only used on the skin details, like pores and tiny wrinkles.
Also I used dynamesh a lot to get the shapes exactly how I wanted. It was posed asymmetrically from quite early on as well, so I could concentrate sculpting it in the pose.
Hope that helps!
Great sculpt! I like his facial proportions.
Very good sculpt!
magnificant
That is just gorgeous!
awesum stuff man.. reminds me of the "clickers" from "the last of us".
whats the poly count on this?
One of the best zombie-like faces I ve seen so far.
Amazing sculpting technique.
May I ask you what matcap you used for the inside Zbrush render please. It really shows your great details.
Thx great job
This is insane work!!! Thinking this guy ate too much tree fungus...:) Awesome detail and Polypaint so far!!!
Thanks guys. The final sculpt was around 12 mil I Think.
edit: also the matcap is called ''zbro_viewport_skin'' - I don't who made it sorry.
thx a lot
keep up the good work
Killer, love the detailing.
Awesome works man !! crazy details !! :tu:
Alright here is a sneak peak of a new sculpt I am currently working on. I thought this area was coming a long nicely, so I decided to share it. More to come!
Your work is really inspiring!
Good muscle deformation considering the pose.
Very "powerful"!
Beast!
Hi guys,
Here is a new character I have been working on lately. Done in Zbrush and rendered with Arnold.
She look great.
great stuff once again, klaus.
do you use decimated meshes or do you model proper topo and then displace?
looking forward for more from you.

i love this one. nice job :tu:
I really like the detail placement on those last 3 works, a lot of rest areas, nice to look at
And seriously, there is a renderer named arnold ?
They are not trying with the names anymore, are they.
wow striking!
beautiful work
Excellent work kskovbo! The render looks out of a Guillermo Del Toro movie, great job!
Very cool sculpt and render!
beautiful work!! I love the detailing around the nose and eyes
Love the character! The design is very elegant and well thought out!
Hi guys,
Thanks for comments. And to answer your question RasmusW, no I do use proper topology. I create the ''low'' cage with Zremesher and then create the uv's in UVlayout. I then bring it back to Zbrush and go up a couple of
divisions and bake the displacement map from there. The low cage for this one was around 750k poly's, and then subdivided in Arnold at render time to handle the displacement map. This is my home workflow, at work its a different story.
Here is a couple of screengrabs from within Zbrush.
12 mil for face
12 mil for body
Amazing work very beautiful!
