I like everyting about this........but the hands.
Etcher:Thanks again for coming in and giving me your great remarks, really helps keep me motivated coming from such a skilled artist as you.
roger:Thnaks for passing by again, appreciate it .The hands I agree look not to good right now but they will be connected to the wing ends and be partially hidden so hopefully I can get away with them on this one..
O'k,
Ive had enough of this model and wrapped it up with the painting in the wings and background in cs2 and psp.
Lots of hard work for nothing but fun and practice!
Hope someone else enjoys it .
Cal.
CALUM, you have a real talent for creppy things...I loved it...even the hands that some people dislike, I think is kind of scary that he has only 3 fingers...
love to see more stuff from you
I really like the way it turned out Cal. Sweet man. I wonder what else you got in store for us. :D
savagliani:Thanks mate, really glad you like the vampire, three fingers n all..Im assuming you meant creepy rather than creppy ha ha..Or maybe not..!!Love your off key projects, facinating works!:tu:
alphagsv:Thanks again Glen,Im working next on a pretty sci fi girl type also!..:tu:
Hi,
I was asked to create an image for a Trading Game Card of a Zombie Dragon.
Its one of many Ive been commisioned to do.(epictcg.com)
I used the daz dragon and took it into zbrush for zombification and texture. Background made in cs2.
On another note:If anyone could suggest a good rendering programme for me?I have xs1 6 (memory crash constant)and upgrading is becomming an international hassle.Im in London.
I was considering Modo or C4d.Could anyone be as kind as to suggest any options or if my choice is good or not .If you do thanks ..Im hitting a deadend composting(yeah thats how I spell it considering my work).
Thanks
cal
ps !I got an image accepted into Exotique 5 @ Ballistic out oct09!Im so chuffed lol..
Congrats buddy, you deserve it. :tu: Love the new Zombie Dragon, awesome.
Nice work!
modo has my rendering and all around respect for sure. It's the only other 3d app I've used, though. I still haven't had the opportunity to thoroughly study it.
Even with that said, as a complete amateur, I've still created some very clean models and renders. It's fun actually! I need more time for it! C4d looks great too, almost got it instead. Personally, I'm glad I chose modo, even though if you have a lot of $$$ for all the modules, C4D has more features. The whole modular deal sounded expensive for what I needed, though. I'm sure it's win win either way. If you get C4D, obviously get the advanced renderer.
Nice updates! Congrats on Exotique 5. Well done. I've got the other 4 books so I'll definitely be getting that one. I'll keep an eye out for your work ;)
alphagsv:Thanks mate,glad you like the dragon !
jamespthornton:Thanks very much for your advice and suggestions.Alot of the time you can leave a help plea and it can be ignored due to everyones busy lives lets say ha ha..I really appreciate getting some kind of direction and help.Im still not convinced as to what to do but will take your comment on board. Thanks again..
Captain Sensible:Hey,thankyou !I love those books and as mentioned am really happy to get in.I got the group badge on my cg portfolio already !I want to try to add some more ..ha ha.Cheers

Hi,
I got a Giger book 2 days ago and so I guess I was inspired.I normally do alot of detail but thought arose after the moment .
Zbrush except colour correction in Photoshop.
Cheers
cal
Very nice. :tu:
Dude this is awesome! I really love the background!
Not many people can pull off a representation of Giger's work... I know of a couple one being Paul Booth from Last Rites check him out.. http://www.flickr.com/photos/lastritestattoo
You are on your way.... Awesome work bro!
