Exported from Z Brush into Painter #10 where I refined the lighting to get more of a Rembrandt feeling of deep shadow and spotlight effect...used cool and warm color lighting.
The man was painted freehand using the oil brushs in the Painter #10 program,...the rest of the scene was created/sculpted in the Z Brush program.

Further along with this piece...Put a cool silver gray transparent tint over entire image while still in Painter #10, nutralizing the cool blues and uniting the cool with the warm colors...Next, I imported it back into Z Brush from Painter #10, and then put warm golden transparent tints of color here and there to soften edges, unify elements in the composition, and warm it up some so it feels like he is cosy while sitting in a room lit by a nice warm fireplace, enjoying the company and antics of his companions, with lots of air/atmosphere while in keeping true to Rembrandts later in life painting style and technique..:)

THANKS Bas...Just dreaming out loud...and dreams are always full of surprises...at least mine are...:D
I did this Z Brush painting awhile back after watching a documentary on the origin of the female AMAZON WARRIOR legend..The legend was traced back to Tibet or Mongolia ..Now I can't remember for sure which of the two places it was, but there was a feirce female horse culture...Some of their graves were found, including the Queen of the tribe...with her horse buried with her.
Anyway, I found it pretty interesting, and amazing how every legend is based in fact somewhere along the long line of history..in this case..herstory..:)
I just started a sculpture which is going to be basically like the Z Brush painting I did awhile back, but will be in 3D sculptural form instead..should keep me busy for awhile I think..:D
Crits, suggestions, opinions will be very much welcomed and appreceated..:)

THANKS Perpetual 1969.:) ..CRAZY....Been there/done that..A nice place to visit, but I wouldn't want to live there.LOL:lol: ..Well too much LDS IN THE 1960'S as Captaint Kirk would put it...and lots of other TABOO'S IN MY CASE..BUT LUCKILY JUST ENOUGH to see what's around the bend, and still be able to make it back in time to appreceate the FINALE...:D
Playing with the pose and the transpose...Got to love this stuff..AMAZING.
I especally love the strong smooth brush..Works great on the figures joints after I screw them up while transposing and then am able to still refine them again with the clay tubes brush afterwards...Just like sculting in reality...:)
