how did you achieve the inner glow pathing along the spots on his back??? did you edit textures directly in photoshop and apply it there or using an inner glow blend with masks?
the only way i can imagine doing that with any kind of ease is masking by rgb and fiddling with it until only those spots were masked .. when i tried to do it on a recent model i had to have all the details i wanted glowing as subtools and that was a pain just with a handful.
nice job either way man!
He came out nicely! I like him.
Thanks to everyone for the compliments.
@dapharmer: The glows were rendered with Mental Ray from 3ds Max with self Illumination maps. Basically a map which defines the areas that glow.
ahhhh :D .. that explains that then :) .. yeah something like that in photoshop woulda completely tried someone's patience
Here's an update of a past project that I felt needed a revision.
Mindblowing models. Amazing details and texturing - also the poses are not average - really diggin this!
Here's the final result of a game res character. He's my interpretation of a fellow from Naughty Dog's Uncharted line based off a provided concept. The style is intended toward realism with a touch of cg/video game style playfulness. Feel free to let me know what you think.;)
What did you use to render? Thanks
@VISEone, & bLawless: Thank you both... and this shot was rendered using mental ray.
looks awesome man, the style almost reminds me of GTA IV meets team fortress.
Awesome work in your thread!!:tu:
Keep it gangsta:cool:
@Tylon, asecbrush: Thank you guys and I can appreciate that comparison
@strangehighways: word yo:cool:;)
she looks great. I love the coloring you used. I too agree that her head feels a little large to her body. Still over all very nice work
