Hello there, really like your bears!!
Could you let me know how you got that amazing brushy look to the tree and the background?
Is it an alpha?
Thanks

Thanks guys :)
Nozzle..Nothing fancy, all done using just a combination of the standard 2.5 D brushs and alphas that come with ZBRUSH 4.
For the waterfalls, log and elsewhere in the piece,I did modify the #62 alpha using the radial fade set at about 7 so that the alpha becomes a circle instead of a square...used the freehand brush stroke...mrgb on...add on....Z intensity 70....rgb intensity 70...Gives the smooth digital clay some tooth..just like using a kichen fork on real clay...also makes great waterfalls, logs, and rocks..:D
More work done on this piece.

It seems that I am the victim of cencorship in this forum.
The Grizzly Falls image that is in the Rcecent Threads thumbnail section above in this forum currently, can be seen in my CG Talk Sketchbook.
It will be taken off of the recent threads section in this forum shortly, before it has been given a chance to be seen and run it's course like everyone elses images in the recent threads section above...which amounts to Cencorship.
Wolf Rider..A practice piece in landscape technique.
 Oct. 01, 2010....A new day, a new post, and I have once again been cut by the cencorship in this forum, this is really getting ridiculous, and very unprofessional on their part I would say. When one person is the victim of unwarranted censorship,, everyone is a victim....For anyone interested in seeing my latest update...You can view it in my CG Talk Sketchbook..The link is below.

Thanks ;)
I had a go with your suggestion and couldn't get the same look with alpha 62 — but I could with alpha 60!
:D
Love your updated image, have you moved into the 2.5D brushes for this?
SD:
hey your sense of composition is fantastic, i find your thumbnails the most eye catching.
ok ready for the pill...they feel too dark to me  I think that you have obviously studied the masters work, so I encourage you to throw a key light in and start with some real TENEBRISM http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tenebrism
keep going, your ideas seem limitless, and the compositions are intriguing and well done. and the animal sculpt are some of your best
enjoying this one dude!
Thanks guys :)
Grizzly Falls
I think you should actually sculpt the bears pooping in the woods and not just the poop.
Thank You moderator

New piece that I just started working on.

Great sculpting SpiritDreamer, you are doing a great work. I think both
pieces just need more brighter areas in the composition.
This one looks great, I think it just needs a little bit more light.
I also like the wolf rider ;)
Keep at it.

Mr. T..Thanks :)
Spiritdreamer, I love the compositions you are building. I tend to just make an object, but these are terrific scenes.
