Yea it has its own little proprietary system that lives in ram.
I'm not to familiar with Windows hardware anymore so I'm not sure what the best stuff is out there but anything over 3ghz should be...
Well ZBrush doesn't use your graphics card so you don't have to worry about that. CPU and RAM are your only bets but since its a 32 bit program it can only use 4gb of RAM on Mac and 3.5 on Windows. ...

I would imagine it would work just fine. I use ZBrush on my Macbook Air (2010 model) at work with no problems. It will be slower that things like re-meshing or really really dense models but its fine...

Here is a first sculpt in a string of (hopefully) many that are 20 minute exercises. Since I am only a hobbyist I find that I learn more if I put aside 20 minutes a day to sculpt as far as I can....
From my understanding the original programmer was hired by Pixologic hence Dynamesh. It came out in the update after the rumored hiring.
