I'm not going to deny that pixologic is innovative, but dial your hyperbole back down into the 1-10 range.. the last truly innovative thing they added to zbrush was dynamesh, and that was 6 years ago.
somebody who is super concerned about hardware cost, but seems to be totally okay with spending thousands of dollars on software is probably not using legit software. just sayin
for some of...
the downside being it will always be incapable of the things every other 3D app can do.. IE) advanced viewport rendering. Most 3D apps are capable of a "BPR" quality render in realtime... never mind...
here's hoping the 8 month wait was really a "surprise, here's zbrush 5 instead" feint
Some might argue that the whole POINT of art is to offend people. And for the record, if a swooning bible thumper clicked on the thread after seeing the top row image, maybe they have it coming?...
While it's great to hear that R7 is on its way, I am curious why you guys are bothering to hold on to 32bit at all? Just swallow the medicine and move to 64bit completely. boom.. two versions to...
I'm wondering why you're charging for the keyshot bridge in the first place... isn't that what ZAppLink and GoZ were supposed to be? Bridges to other apps?
Not to be Sandy V, but the...
most of these images are actually too big to really appreciate... the new forum doesn't give us a way to zoom in and out of them, and I have to scroll around to see super enlarged parts of the image....
looks great, only crit would be that you might consider a different reflection map for the helmet- kind of kills the immersion when you look at his helmet and it's clearly reflecting a paved country...
it's starting to look like an old geocities site up in here :)
In all seriousness- is it really necessary? It seems to be a fairly recent trend.. I'm pretty sure everybody that visits this forum...
i guess i'm showing my age here, but I still don't get why anyone would build a hard surface model of this complexity in zbrush. I've done a few hard surface models in zbrush with recent versions as...
Wow, your lizard is much better than the one that ended up in the movie. I loved the movie but I hated the Lizard design- I wish they would've used yours. So much better!
autodesk has already put out an app that does this.. it's basically a super basic 'toy' version of mudbox's sculpting engine, but it's highly functional. Ran pretty smooth on my ipad2, just don't see...
From page one to here... such incredible progress. Congratulations are in order, you have improved dramatically and your hard work is definitely paying off. Keep posting awesome works!
There it is :)
Yup, and that's that.
All of the newer people to zbrush probably don't realize that back in the day slipped deadlines were a running joke... it's only more recently that they've started hitting...
two minutes until Pixologic has officially missed their deadline... dun dun DUNNNN......
Wow, this is a nice surprise indeed. With a program as complex as ZBrush, some bugs are going to slip through the cracks inevitably- and I'm glad to see that you guys are taking the time to help in...
This is completely unecessary.
Personally, I think his title was descriptive enough to warn people of the contents (it's pretty straight forward). A little "ma" tag isn't going to deter anyone...
That's a pretty impressive rig you've got there! Thanks for the info!
Out of curiosity- do you eventually plan on releasing your software, for studios who want to make use of this type of...
wow, this is really cool stuff.. how are you scanning these things out in the wild? Are you using something like the David scanner?
turned out really nice!
nicely done, i've just been going through the 'whats new' PDF and tweaking all of the new knobs, but this will certainly help!
Really cool vids, and nice ideas!
Maybe I'm old school, but I still don't really see the point in doing non-organic, completely hard surface work in ZBrush... maybe it's for a new breed of artist...
