Last I checked, VLC didn't encode video. Ever. Who knows, maybe things have changed over the last week since I checked
Ah. MOV. That will cause problems encoding. I thought you meant MPG, which is what the topic says! Regardless, I'm sure its possible to convert it somehow, otherwise people wouldn't be able to upload...
Virtualdub perhaps? If VDub can't convert to mp4, convert it to avi and then convert the avi to mp4 with whatever official tools are used.
I still don't really understand what the rakes are for. It seems to create that sort of "rough" look without really adding to the geometry. What's the point?
LOL! P software. That's a good one =P. There seems to be alot of anti P sentiment I've seen around professional 3d forums actually. Well I guess the reason is obvious, but it's still strangely...
If I remember correctly, blend shapes = morph target = shape key
Since it uses serial, I'm assuming it is reeeeally old! Not sure about it's performance though...
I ran the test and it gave me a 26.7% speed increase. Not sure how much time it took, I think it was between 4 and 6...
How would one benchmark a computer for ZBrush? As far as I know, standard tests wouldn't be very accurate due to it's alien nature =P
^Right you are.
I JUST bought a new computer too! And it's equivalent to yours!
Core 2 Duo E6600
XFX 7900GT
2GB PC4200 RAM (yeah a little slow)
Thanks for the comments guys! A good read.;)
Can you elaborate on this? I've heard great things about XSI and have now started to learn it, but I don't really see it to be that great compared to the other 'complete' applications... What's so...
I think it's more analogous to a swiss knife that can do *almost* everything, but some things aren't there forcing you to juggle between tools. While there is nothing wrong with this, it would be...
Brilliant. Looks even more awesome now =P
Yeah well just because he's abnormally strong doesn't mean he'll hold the weapon in an extremely unstable position. You want the sculpture to indicate strength, and mountainous solidity, and nothing...
Dunno bout you guys, but if I was holding a hammer in that pose, the hammers head would be on the floor, since otherwise the hammer would tip very easily. You want it to look stable right? Then turn...
Or, Pixologic has a really, REALLY good reason to maintain this silence. So great in fact, that we have not worked out what that reason is. Well I just finished reading the Da Vinci code so that...
AUSTRALIAN TV!?!? If you ever get ZBorntoy to show on there, you MUST let me know when it airs!!!
Mm.. poetry/lyrics, truly the most artistic way I've seen so far on internet forums to express and debate views =P
Good question actually. Assuming you are referring to image based lighting and using HDR images... I'm curious too...
So how about support for animated depth maps and hence motion blur =P. I can't imagine Zborntoy supporting functionality to something that definitely requires raytracing such as motion blur... or...
The more I think about it actually, the more this plugin reminds me of Zbrush's native renderer, except in a superior way =P
This is why topology is critical =)
Thanks for the explanation. I looked through your entire website, but it wasn't explained as well as you did just then =). Seriously. I say because I only asked my question up there just after...
