it looks pretty good. i agree it might look better alittle darker. what did you use for hair? is it painted, or a hair system in another program? keep up the good work

this isnt really what i was shooting for with the hair. basically i just volume modeled it into the base mesh, and detailed it in zbrush. it doesnt show real well in mental ray... im working on hair...

here is an update. its rendered in mental ray, texturing with zbrush and ps. hair, eyes and hair line still need alot of work. i unwrapped the hair seperatly for some stupid reason, so thats a step...
he looks really good, it should come to life once he has some eyes...
sylvain nice sculpting. i like the range that you are able to get with this head. all of them look very good, and all have very distinct characteristics and styles. i think that i like the middle...
thanks for the comments Moochie. the right ear? yeah it kinda does seem alittle low. i gotta check that. i think getting the right proportions for the eye lid is one of the biggest challanges so far....

i think it is a very good start. i would try to focus on developing the volumes on the head and beak, to make them more clear and precise. all in all very good for 2 days of Zbrushin'. how did you...
here is an update of this character. i made a basic color map and used some SSS, but im not sure on how to get the best results with it. any tips or info on tutorials would be greatly appreciated....
