This looks awesome, Svengali!
I'm hoping this 'temp .obj' file process will correct the corrupting of UVs I
seem to be continually getting once I re-import my low-poly .obj back into
XSI. Great...
One other potential solution if you've got Zbrush2 is to take the model
in there and try to reconstruct. I had a model that Z3 didn't want to
reconstruct, but Z2 did.
good luck!

another technical question...does the engine take care of rendering
single-sided polys as double-sided? (thus, really doubling the polycount
on those areas, since its duplicating the polys at...

Thanks for your suggestions, andreseloy!
I think for this guy I'm going to try and keep his size down
to somewhat more real animal-like (lion sized) with the
exception of his front arms.
I've...
Howdy,
Haven't gotten into fine details with this yet, but looking for some crits on
general form and anatomy.
The intention was a lion-based animal (but more powerful front legs) with

Plakkie,

nice addition, chemkid....thank you! :)

very nice!...always great to see various techniques (and much appreciated).
thanks! :)

Nice work, Sebcesoir. :)
Base the body off of a tennis star? (maybe it's just
the sports bra that's making her reminiscent of Serena Williams) :D
Small crit: seems that the crown of her head...
Thanks for the response, Rastaman. I've read your post you've indicated
and have not altered the mesh's point count. What's 'fuzzy' is that Z3
exports with flipped normals. So I have tried both...
Really nice low-poly translation! Like the texture work you've
done. Is the lighting baked in to the texture or have you lit
the model seperately for the screenshots?
Only small crit might be...

I was able to reconstruct the lower sub-D's from my mesh that I
tested this process on (not the multiple sub-tool process, but just the
fine detail transfer process) in order to get back down to...
I've done some brief tests with a more 'reasonable' head mesh of 1.5m polys,
and I'm a bit unsatisfied with the results as well. I've used UVLayout for my
UVs, and it allows one to 'locally resize'...

Hi Darukin,
I'd love to see what you come up with along those lines.
There's much to be admired about Z3's built-in shadows
and the ability to render out higher-res with AA-half on,
so I could...
This would be quite handy...the ability to do somewhat more
sophisticated 'demo' reel revolves and pans using Zbrush's
built in goodies, then just edit in AE or Vegas or summin.
The addition of...
Darukin,
Have you tried character animating with a ZSphere-rigged character

thanks for that hotkey code, marcus!

skarpunin...what has been your experience with very hi-poly import
into xNormal? I tried bringing in 7-8mil poly (lots of tris :D ) and it
had troubles, so I ended up in XSI with the model....
