These are fantastic.
Yeah, that's awesome.
I'd like to see it over a lighter background... You said that the render was a little dark, but I think the lighting on the model is great. If the background contrasted a bit...
I was convinced that the cloth was simulated... I've never seen such convincing fabric sculpting.
Also, I have a newfound respect for MakeHuman as a tool. Thanks for the insight!
This is incredible.
The anatomy and composition is top notch. Can you talk a bit about how you handled the cloth?
I love the the stylism in this piece.
I also think the final comp is great. It's frustrating to hide work in an image like this, but I think you made the right call.
I love this. The sculpt would be great on its own, but with the nouveau decorative elements it's incredible.
I'll second that.
This should really be on the top row...
Impressive : )
This is adorable. You captured the feel of the original nicely. How did you go about the textures?
It's been a long time since I've posted anything here, but since I've been really trying to increase my art-output in the last couple of months, I figure I should start a thread and get some...
This is really great! I love the choices that you've made as to the level of detail across the model, and your textures really compliment the forms.
I disagree about the hair. It may not match the style of the rest of the model, but on it's own it's really nice. I've been trying to achieve a similar effect on a model of my own to no avail. ...
Your work is so delicate... Yet another example of the flexibility of this software. Here's hoping that they will appease the Mac user base with Z3 soon. I want to see what you can do with it.
I really like where this is going Plakkie... I always like to see the more stylized stuff here. Zbrush can make scaly/wrinkly monsters better than anything else, but there's so much more to it. ...
This is certainly a refreshing change in subject matter! The only other treatment of this subject that I can remember seeing here (or anywhere else in the 3d community, for that matter) was...
Great materials! You have achieved a nice mixture or cartoony shapes and tactile textures.
Man, I wish I'd had something like Z3 when I was in Highschool... Geiger's Alien is always a good place to practice. I've not been brave enough to take it on myself, but talk about an iconic peice...
I almost hope you don't go into too much more detail on that orc. The forms themselves are so appealing and it almost seems as if you'd lose some of your lines if you detailed it up too much... In...
Definitely top row.
Thanks! I messed around for a while, and eventually got the obj import combination to work.
These are some of the most appealing digital models I've seen to date. There has always been a tactile sense to your work that sets it apart.
Earlier on this thread you showed screenshots of a...
I love the cloth. It's all very crisp. Do you have any previous Zbrush work? if so I'm sure we'd all like to see it...
Did you build your basemesh in Max? I'm really impressed with the surface continuity... Zbrush is so well known for it's ability to manage detail, but sometimes it's a bit dificult to keep clean...
Thanks! I've always thought that Bill Watterson has been under rated as a fantasy and sci-fi artist. It's easy to lose track of how cool some of his images are in context of his "Sunday funnies"...
This is my first "finished" model in zbrush. I know I could tweak this or any other model till I died and they would never be really finished. Sometimes you've just got to move on. I'd still welcome...
