This was the "Warship" based on a mixture of a fish and warships. This might be my favorite.
This was for "The Baroness." This had the hardest concept art to translate.
I sculpted these for the Kickstarter funded game Incredible Expeditions.
Great work. Love your anatomy!
Awesome work, man. Focused study in something like a class, combined with repeated daily studies is how you get really good really quickly. It takes effort, focus, and dedication but when you look...
Damn that's nice work. I'm inspired to sink my teeth into a nice long project like that. Great job!
This is a goldmine! Thanks so much.
So when you cast the bronze, was it like a lost wax method, except ABS plastic instead of wax? Or did you use a different 3d printing material?
Really inspiring. Great work. I'll definitely be following where you go with it.
Would it be reasonable to retarget that animation onto a creature?
I'm having a hard time seeing the difference between the new crease brush and the clip brushes. I looked at the Whats New pdf and couldn't get much out of it. Has anyone had any success with it?
Supergreat stuff here. Keep posting!
You're not too far off recorgasm. Its two modified cavity maps controlling the weight of two extra shaders on an mib_mix_color node. There's two light surfaces with blackbody nodes driving...
Started out with a win today when I got the physically accurate lava shader set up in mental ray. I'll have to do a robust tutorial when this thing is all done.333088
I have to ask about the spider webs.
How did you do the spider webs? They look great. I have a spider project for a university I could use them for.
Thanks man. Ran into some issues rendering in Maya mental ray. Mib_mix_color with a glow masked by a cavity map and mia material... Mia turned a weird blue with physical sun sky, even with the sky...
Working on a giant lava turtle. Working from alligator snapping turtle reference. His front legs are more molten lava, slowly dripping down. His rear legs are more like rock, like a defensive...
Really nice job on that helmet. You do great work. Keep it up!

Got down to the 7th cervical vertebrae. This is definitely harder than I thought it would be but I'm still into it. Obviously learning a lot about the bones and picking up a few new things...
Oh dang! Awesome work. Super inspiring.
I got a skeleton in the mail today, so I'll be sculpting each and every bone in the body. Today I started with the first 3 cervical vertebrae. I thought it was going to be easier than it was. Like...
Quality zombie. Well done Sir.
Thanks Lvxifer. I just took a look at your thread and you've got some amazing stuff going on over there. I'll have to try that style at some point.
Thanks Black-Tooth. For the glowing lava effect I first looked at the glow shader and then the glow BPR effect. I didn't like either approach so I just did it in Photoshop. For the monster I ended...
Great thread! That's a pretty sweet alien.
