This is my latest 3D effort, it's a portrait of Johnny Depp as Captain Jack Sparrow. It was created using 3dsmax, Zbrush and photoshop.

Great work, very inspirational. How did you create his hair? Also, it might just be me, but his hat looks a bit like rubber.

x-titan: The hair was done with the (hair and fur modifier) in 3dsmax, using individually placed splines as the emitters. The dreadlocks are geometry with Zbrush displacement and a hair modifier on top of that.

A few tough crits there lol.I just have to say its a 9/10 from me!The cheeks seem to rounded on my memorys take of him but you probally used a ref and Im wrong . All round a pleasure to look at!

Great! Love the lighting, textures, hair, model... everything really, although the eyes, hardest bit, don't have the spark the rest has. Stunning!
