    Post Head ZIF - WIP

Ok Ok. I know this has been a subject of much attention in the past and many artist MUCH better than me have done it. However, the reason I am doing it is for my own personal satisfaction.

I'm attempting to create a skinned zsphere head that I can export to C4D to take advantage of the SSS skin that I have been creating. My intentions are to make the most realistic head possible. I'm also trying to keep the poly count as low as can be. Although, I may end up with more polys than you can shake a wacom at.

This is what I have done so far. The simplicity of zspheres is still amazing to me.

About 90 minutes worth of work.

    Talking

I've been working on this since I started this post. It has been a real learning experience. Frenchy called me a perfectionist in my last post and I would have to agree with him even more after this image.

I hope you guys enjoy it as much as I have enjoyed making it. The texture still needs to be tweaked in some areas. Plus, I'm going to be making a separate bump map instead of using the texture as bump. Other than that I'm very happy with it.

    Very,very nice.
Only suggestion was you should have posted it separately, to get it prime attention, instead of at the bottom.
90 minutes turned into a lot more.
    Many more!!!

    Thumbs up

Thank for your feedback everyone. I'm suprised I actually made it to the top row with this one You know andreseloy. I have a desire to make a z-script sometime in the future. Maybe that can be on my agenda very soon. Hopefully I can give this guy some hair change the bump map soon. Check back here for updates

Great work Narlac, the skin could probably do with some refinement, but it looks cool

No, of course I would'nt. Although this one is the next to final version you can see how the polys are placed. I found that zspheres offer tons of flexibility that are normally found in more expensive programs. I tried to do the same thing in C4D and just gave up. It was extremely time consuming compared to what I was able to do in Z. Of course, you guys already know all of this

    Here is the polyframe:

    Hi Nalrac
    Great result
Maybe the "white" of eyes is too uniform and miss the more difficult the hair, hairs, eyesbrow,eyelash...
    But crazzy result indeed !
