hi clifbomb, it is a nice work that you are sharing here. but would it not be much better for you, you start your own thread? then there you can collect your works, call it clifbombs fun with zbrush, or something else that fits your ideas. this way people get to know all your work, and not only the latest... see, like i do collect my personal work all in this thread, which i called fun with zbrush, as this is also the name of my blog... have fun with sculpting...

    Default portrait challenge football

to improve sculpting skills, i believe it is very valuable to try creating likenesses. so, i started a sculpting challenge for myself, with the theme german national football team. this means i am trying to do 12 portraits. here are the first four, in the order i created them. each sculpted completely in zbrush in 3-6 hours about. these are manuel neuer, jerome boateng, joachim loew, and bastian schweinsteiger.

i also did busts from them, just for fun, if you like you can see them on my blog. here i want focus on the sculpting of the likenesses so share only the "heads". i hope at the end one will see improvement...

    Default baby dragon

for long i wanted create a game character, and recently i decided to just do it! i am quite far in the project, and today i like to share my character posing :-)

this is the lowpolymodel rendered with cycles. it all began with the sculpt of the high poly model in zbrush:

then i created a lowpolymesh in blender:

made a rig in blender, and did already a walk and an idle cycle. and, i tried it in unity, it is so much fun to see him walk around there :-) ...i hope you enjoy my first try of a game character...

This little dragon is very sweet, kokoro.
He looks cute but is at the moment more targeted for adults...if you know what I mean. I like him.
Maybe consider to give him other eyes. You'll get much more possibilities for your animations then.

The soccer guys are pretty cool. You should contact the DFB if they are interested

    Keep the good work coming.

    Best,

    Knacki

thank you knacki! ... yes, dragon is not meant for a kids game. i see about the eyes. so far it is just a colored sphere, but i will jow do a proper texture. i see your point. thanks!

    Default game art

i am still very busy with creating my very first unity game, which is featuring baby dragon, which i posted above... and now i decided baby dragon needs a companion in the game to help him in difficult situations, and made a dog ;-)
here it is, shown in zbrush as high poly model, and also textured, and shown in unity (i will solve the problem that he looks too pale in unity, got some good tips for that already)...

if you like, you can see a walk animation of the dog on my blog.

the game is finished, if you want try out here is pc and mac version, and here is a linux version. please note, this is a puzzle game, with no monsters and no shooting stuff. it is more the relaxing sort of game... if that's what you like, i invite you to have a try. its a big download, around 120 mb...

    Your thread is magical!
You are also working, without a break.
In your work I like, above all, the focus on the essentials.
    The skater boy is superb!

I'm not a big "gamer", but the game do I download currently. I'm curious!

thank you tm. the more i hope you enjoy the game ... yes, i work a lot, but it never feels like work. i just love it :-) ... oh, glad you like the skaterboard boy. i really liked him myself, but this sculpt was not a popular one ...lol... yes, my focus is on simple forms, to express in my sculpt what i want "say". detail is most of the time not necessary, or rather i think this way i mean,, more i believe that too much detail clutters a sculpt, and takes away from it instead of enhancing. but, i know this is not the popular opinion...
anyway, my new speedy sculpt does exactely same, hardly detail, many forms only rough, but, hopefully, precise... portrait of jerome, less than 2 mill polygons for all sculpt...
