    Default A bit confused

Most of your pieces are called "quick sculpts", "blockouts" etc. some of which are done a minumum of 4-4 1/2 hrs or more. Are those "quick" sculpts as far as you're going to go? Are you going to finish them? If they're quick how long does a normal sculpt take for you? and what do you mean by "blockout"? Most of what I know about those terms are nothing near the level of detail you have posted. They especially aren't anything you'd ask for critique on. In fact when you're blocking something out I always thought it was mainly just proportions and no detail. You refer to your Sagat sculpt as blockout, but it looks pretty refined, maybe incomplete in terms of materials and rendering and perhaps posing (if it was meant to be a composition), but otherwise refined. I think it looks great ! as is and I'd like to see a "finished" version of it. I ask these questions because most of these sculpts with the exceptions of the studies look pretty complete in terms of sculpting, but reads like your downplaying your works as if it isn't good enough to be called anything but a block out or quick sculpt. I don't mean to sound rude, but I just don't want to waste your time critiquing your work with comments that may coincidentally already be on the "the list of things to include" towards the finished product.

I guess I am a little confused , I don't have a piece called Sagat and I have never called my sketches block outs ... I just experiment with Zbrush and other apps for a couple of hours in the evening when I have a little free time....
I just make stuff that mostly comes out of my Head.....and try to make stuff that's interesting.... And I do welcome comments and insights of other Artists... Deke

PS maybe you commented on the wrong thread ??? .....
