Hi Zbrushers,

Ive just come off a three month job and I hate being inactive. When I have a gap in my schedule I like to make practice pieces.

As I often get private messages asking how I create my scale patterns on all things reptilian..I have decided to become more active on my own thread by showing work in progress of my latest project.

Wow, great work! The amount of details for the tortoise is unbelievable! How'd you create that glossiness look and slimy look on the shell, though? And what about the eyes? thanks. This thread is so intriguing !!

Terrific tortoise! Very clean, though: must have just gone for a dip and washed off all its dust!

When I'm painting masks, I like to paint it into polypaint, instead of relying on the masks. This way seems more reliable, stable to me; and painting black on white gives me a better look at the errors in my mask. Hope this helps.
