I have seen sculptors which have similar skill in getting the anatomy down ( stuff I still grapple with), but I have very rarely seen someone who is such an expert in nailing faces down and breathing live in them, especially how you make use of subtle and believeable use of expressions is amazing
    Great work

Hi Shuu, I tried to capture this process in a ZBrush Timelapse. Here I'm just using a Brush: Standard, rgb intensity down to 2-4 Stroke: Spray and Alpha 23. For the veins I use the same brush slightly higher rgb intensity, Stroke: DragRect and Alpha 22
I'm using the SkinShade4, wax-on and an additional specular. Good luck.

    Default NightWatch Amsterdam Rijksmuseum

    cherub_rock: Thanks, love your work!
Sawgittarius: Thanks man, glad it amused you. J

I picked up an older model I made for the ZBrush 4R2 beta and made a simple clay render in Arnold. I was asked by my client if I could preparing it for a 3D print, but to make it work I need to redo the chair and probably change his pose a bit.

The "NightWatch" character is a made up snoring security guard of the Amsterdam Rijksmuseum. The name of this piece refers to the famous Night Watch painting of Rembrandt you find in this museum. The Rijksmuseum reopened his doors in April 2013, after 10 years renovation.
