It looks like your approach would better suit my bird so I would love to give it a try if you can share your technique.

Thanks and keep up the great work!
    I've seen your work.
    Very good.
I have tested two kinds of textures and micro-mesh.
    Will be updated soon.
    Thank you.

    Default feather.. fibermesh test

    feather.. fibermesh test...
    Feather fiber mesh was created.
This will be applied to the micro-mesh.

Beautiful feather! Would love to know how you achieved this with just fibermesh. I attempted one with fibermesh as well but wasn't able to get it to be quite as flat as you've achieved. Instead I created mine with S&H converted to poly. I did find though that the render times for using this method with micromesh were pretty long (8 core 3.6Ghz processor and 16 gigs of ram). You'll have to let us know the render length if you get good results.

    Looking forward to seeing it!

edit: I guess it doesn't matter how much power you have since Zbrush is only utilizing up to 4 Gigs (damn 32 bit)

And micro-mesh is not suitable for the feathers.
    Rendering takes a long time.
I will use as a texture.
