Professional ZBrush Display MatCaps for download

Hi There

Well, its been 6 months, but here they are…

4 sets of 9 MatCaps, totalling 36 in all

They are hosted on MediaFire and the links are below

Set 1 - http://www.mediafire.com/?0dxh687g6lfpbi3

Set 2 - http://www.mediafire.com/?j7qkl831k2jsrs9

Set 3 - http://www.mediafire.com/?4jmfxp48h0oc5v0

Set 4 - http://www.mediafire.com/?7q298rg9ft520z7

These are primarily display MatCaps although I suppose a few could be used for sculpting and in most cases the images they are comprised of were originally rendered at 1024 x 1024, although some were at 512 x 512 - so its safe to say that they would be ok for print resolution artwork if required.

Probably about 30 or so hours of rendering time went into these and ive tried to ensure that they are of the best quality possible.

Some have a slight texture or faux bumpiness to them (Orange With Microscratches, the Electron Microscope’s etc) so I would be careful of using them on non spherical objects as there will be some level of texture distortion.***8203;

Please note that these are a free resource… but - for the few people who in my other thread, quite generously said they would be willing to offer something for them, here is my PayPal email address as i feel that a ‘donate’ button is unethical :

onepixeldeep@btinternet.com - use this to send to my PayPal account

But please dont feel you have to, because thats not the case…

Just enjoy them

J

p.s. And let me see what you do with them

Special thanks to SwampGhost and Nickz

Sketchguy : Ive tested them in ZBrush 4, 4R2, 4R2B, R3 and 4R4 and they all load correctly, so I don’t know what to suggest…

Sketchguy - Ive just had a thought, maybe its the filename length that might be the issue on a Mac, try renaming to shorter file names, just an idea…

I think it just might solve your problem… let me know please
