    Mature Audiences Storm

Here is my version of the Storm character from the X-Men universe.

This personal project has one main inspiration but many influences.

The trigger was a page from The Maxx, which I was revisiting. I really love Sam Keith´s style and specially the way he does his characters' bodies.

There's also a lot of Frazetta on this piece and in the end it reminded me some of Goya's dark paintings mood.

Everything was modeled and textured from scratch in zbrush.

To get to this final model I used only the drawing from The Maxx comics which was very interesting since it doesn't really has much detail.
The hair was done with Fibermesh.

For texturing I used 3d.sk resources in Spotlight and Photoshop.

I did some cloud volume trials in Zbrush as well as some lighting tests and BPR renders. Then I used Max/FumeFX to create the clouds.

The final render was done with Vray, using a light setup that would mimic what I had in Zbrush on my BPR renders.

The main comp was done with Fusion and final touch in Photoshop.

    cc's are more than welcome

Hi! Not very familiar with storm, but doesn't she have white hair? it would add focus I think to the dark image. I would add hands from which the lightening would come... other than that, from what I can see the female form is good, nice anatomy and frazetta curvy

    Peace

    Thanks Crazy Horse.

Its true that Storm usually has white hair and darker skin but this is a personal version and it turned out like this.

I actually tried with brighter and darker hair, but if it were darker it got lost in the clouds, while if it were brighter it would become more relevant than the female figure's skin.

I agree with the hands. It would have added more expression to the character.

    Here is a BPR WIP.

great picture! my 2 cents would be a bit more accurate work with a hair!
