    Default J0linar - Sketchbook

    Hi all i tought it would be time to start my own Sketchbook thread here. Just recentlly i started with zbrush, less then a month ago before i played around with 3dcoat and sculptris before that, it seemed to be about in time to start using zbrush so far am more then just satisfied, it feels like digital artistic freedom... now enough with that lets get to the point My Sketchbook Hardsurface Scifi Suit Zbrush BPR Rendered am still learning and hope to show of some more

    Default Human Hand


    I started this one in Blender even the Sculpt but it was not that detailed when i brought it into ZB
    after some playing around and testing things thats what its lookin right now
    plan on polypainting it

    Hey, it's a good start but there are several things odd about it. The thumb seems to be rotated upside down. Take a look at your hand from above and look at the shape, you should basically be looking more at the side of your thumb. The fatty pads of the palm are too large. The palm seem to be too long as well and the fingers are tapered at the ends too much. The underside/palm also looks pruned like it has been soaking in water. These are just a few of the issues I see. I would say look at lots of reference images or your own hand and get the underlying shape correct before focusing on the details.

    There are couple of things i would do different if i would start it again
    ic my errors in proportion and well anatomy

    Default Hardsurface/ Organic Alien Creature

    This is my wip of a personal exercise
    where i will focus on sculpting to retopo in zbrush only





    Thats it so far, the inspiration came from the Movie Mars Attacks

    I could have spent some more time on him but
    i call it done, there are still plenty of things am not really happy about
