    Francis Bezooyen : I made my own because I'm rendering the hairs in polygons and the vray hair shader is not working so well on poly's.

    That begs the question - why poly hair?

    Because Vrayhairfarm modifier do not have an option to add more step to the hairs..so they render very EDGY.. so I can't use it ... so no choice to render the hairs as poly and use my custom hair shader. (it will have a smooth option later this year in Vray 3 so let's wait)
