    Default Claycatures

    Hello everybody!
I'm very proud to share with you my latest claycatures.
Workflow as usual: dynamesh, decimation master, blender and cycles render or Luxrender.
    I hope you like it.

This one is Liam Neeson, rendered in black and white in a side view:

And here a front view, in color:

And this is the beautiful Kate Moss in three images. The latest one is a Luxrender image.

Nice liam Neeson, profile was definately him! Portrait, the nose seems to be hiding bit much of the face, so looses some recognition.

maybe you can play with higher values for focal length when rendering.

hey, why not find a fingerprint alpha and get even closer to the plastecine claymation look

Thank you very much for your appreciation, daidda. I agree with you at 100%. I like better Neeson's profile too. I love the DOF effect, but I don't want to abuse of it.
I was also thinking about the fingerprint look for some works, specially selfportraits. I'm glad to read your words. Looks like my works are demanding something.

Love your style, fresh and original.

However, why bother put fingerprints on it ? I mean, if you're going that way, you could just really do it in clay...

Thank you Ouran. I don't know how my work will be in the near future. That was just a possibility. At the moment I feel good with this look. I appreciate your advice too. Thank you!

    Default Chuck Close

    Hello everybody!
This is my latest work: a Chuck Close claycature. I have rendered him as a Mentat.
    I hope you like it.

I made another three versions of this work. Just for fun. Trying to emulate Chuck Close style.
This one is based on his mosaic paintings. It is done with the help of Inkscape and Adobe Photoshop.

This is a free version of his tapestries . I've used unified skin tool for this one.

And this one is a version of his daguerreotypes. Everyone of them using ZBrush for modeling and Blender and Luxrender for rendering and illumination.

And this is the sculpting process with turntable at the end. Enjoy!

Thank you RasmusW for yor kind words. I'd love to see them moving and talking too, but unfortunately I'm not deep in time (I work as a teacher) and I have a very very large list of people to do.
    Regards

Here you have some of my latest works. I hope you like it.
    Nina Simone (BW version)

Lou Reed redux. Actually this is an early work, edited with a cleaner mesh (amazing ZRemesher is used). New light settings and rendered with Luxrender.

    The new topology. Lou forever!

Thank you for your kind words. That's sounds great! But I'm not interested (at the moment) in 3D prints. I'm just trying to get good looking images.
P.s. I have checked out your page and I find it very interesting (now in my favourites).
