Leap motion controller

Anyone see the video on their site yet?

It has the potential to be very useful with in zbrush.
Could you imagine sculpting a work almost as naturally by hand but with the capabilities of zbrush at your finger tips.

I hope Pixologic looks into this and I for one would love to try Leap motion controller when it comes to market.

Oh wow. It costs next to nothing too. I’ll definitely be keeping an eye on this technology to see how it develops. I’m always leery to spend money on or before the release of something, though. Unless it’s the elder scrolls. 'nuff said.

Wow, that is really pretty cool. I can say that when we use computers as productivity tools to improve the way we play and work, we do not want to be slowed down by a sub-standard input machine like the conventional mouse and keyboard. The thought of a more organic, empty-handed, natural-motion controller like the Microsoft Kinect is well-known, but execution has mostly failed to meet anticipations. According to Wired, however, there’s a new controller called the Leap Motion that may have mastered the motion controller. Check this out here.

I just received my LeapMotion device this week, and I think it would make an excellent addition for painting/sculpting in ZBrush (and other similar packages). I was quite impressed at the SDK API design, and it didn’t even seem like it would take a whole lot of work just to support a basic level of functionality. As a customer, I’d very much like to see LeapMotion support in ZBrush, is there any plan already to add support?

Thanks!

Autodesk is already all over it.
