Sweet. Do you know what the resolution of the 3 D print was(layer thickness)?

That is awesome. Can I ask if you needed to do any finish work to the piece (tumble, polish?).

Thanks for sharing.

Dan

Great work this… well done!

Which printer was used for the Wax Model?

Keep it up!

thank you very much.

@doug: i dont know exactly i think something around 0,025 mm or less
@dfuriano: thank you  i have a jeweler and they do some additional polishing and
they also add some chemicals to darken it a little.
@sigmund: thanks. i dont know to be honest. i have a company and they do all the
“non computer and printing work” for me. i just know how to model the objects

another work:

memento mori silver skull ring. on the side there´s a sandglass
and “sand” within. reminding the person wearing it being mortal and that life is
a gift and you should enjoy life and use the time wisely.

almost 90 grams of 935 type silver

that´s pretty heavy - but heavy is good

on the left side there´s the silver cast with final polish & on the right side the wax
printed version of it.

i hope you like it.

Yes another great one you have designed… do your printers and manufacturers do this for other designers too… I need someone to do this for me, Namibia is to small a population to invest in Wax Printers of quality…

I really like your work…

Yet another cool use for ZBrush.May I ask how do you deal with obtaining an accurate size?

Could I ask you who is doing your printing? I am involved in a project who’s final product are small figures, and they are having trouble getting the fidelity needed. It looks like whoever you are using can do that quite well. Thanks!!

Great stuff!

I’m sure the person wearing that is quite pleased

Love the way the silver turned out. Did you cast it yourself?

Show us more :stuck_out_tongue:

Just love the skull ring!

Awesome stuff!

hi! do you know which printer is that?

Fantastic prints, it really captured all the cool details. Love the skull!

details

Another Great piece you have here… still not letting us in on what printer or who is printing these for you…

Keep up the good work!

Ziggy

Dear Community,

sorry for my late reply.

@SigmundHentze: I think they use solidscape printers for the wax models.
@monstermaker: thank you sir. it´s pretty easy: i create a cylinder in zbrush, cut of
the top - delete hidden - then i use 3d print exporter to set the exact size. after exporting
i reimport the reference model and append it to my ring. then i do resizing of my ring,
delete the reference and export the ring - that´s all. works perfect and accurate.

i´m working on a new sculpture.

i found out a interesting technique. it´s something like a „wirestyle“.

If you like it and you´re interested i´m going to experiment a little bit more and make a tutorial
on how to achieve the effect.

maybe it would look cool to „reproject“ the image / stlye back onto the geometry

I like the concept. Well done.

hello vlad74,

thank you

it was a lot of fun to make.

it´s not on the level of gutalin but i´m still trying  there is a lot of
space left for more details.
