Default Twisted Horror (Frankenstein (1931) Frankenstein: Lead singer in a Heavy Metal Band

Hi everyone. I had so many ideas floating around my head of what Frank could do outside of horror movies. It took me a few days to pick. So I finally decided, and my entry will be Frank as the lead singer in a Heavy Metal Band.

Looking forward to seeing everyone's work.

    Good luck all,
    Kurt

I had some time to get Franks base mesh underway tonight. Started with spheres to get his general size, then shaped the adaptive skin a bit. Once his form was at a place i liked I zremeshed. Will most likly switch over to Dynamesh for the bulk of the sculpting and then Zremesh again once i have him a lot farther along for the final.

    Love the idea very much!

Great model made using the ZMesher wow didn't really know it could do that good since I haven't tried it yet. I didn't even think of using it before sculpting. So I learned something too thanks. Wish you great luck in the challenge!

    Happy ZBrushing!

Thanks Seavannah, glad you learned something new =)....

I spent about 2 hours blocking out basic forms tonight. Will dive back into his face tomorrow with all the face reference i have found.

I started the basic sculpted boots today, I still have a lot more to add to them. Also blocked out a lot in dynamesh for down the road like the shorts, socks.

Franks shorts are all retopoed and base folds are in. Socks, straps, and pockets are on. Spent a bit of time tonight refining his face, it still needs a bit more tweaking but getting closer to him in 1931. I must say there are a lot of different vershions of him some with a lot of hair others with little. I hope to nail his face down tomorrow.

More tweaking the face today, I added the bolts and metal part to his head. Only issue i can see is my computer is like 5 years old and does not like going to high in sub levels, so hopefully i can get some crisp lines in
there before the computer hates me...

Nice progress! Very smooth! Out of curiosity, what is the brush that you find you're using the most?

Thanks, I actully only really use 2 main brushes... Clay build up and Dam standard for 90% of my sculpting. I do use the move tool a lot as well.

As far as style.... right now im still feeling the waters, I'll be adding some color tomorrow and that will determine which way he will end up either more realistic or a bit more stylized.

Im still trying to figure out what i want to do for a back drop.

I had time this morning to start his skin today, still in the process of building up tones slowly. To start the Skin I used the built in Skin mat in Zb with a few tweaks in the material options. Still have to add some noise to this skin over all as well as it really smooth...

Skin almost done, I added a lot more layers of color since the last update. Hes starting to come alive now. Tomorrow will get to work on his shorts and boots.
