Dilated Pupil's Sketchbook

Hi,

I’m new to this forum and have been using ZBrush for a couple of years intensively both at work and as a private passion. This is what I (almost) finished today and I hope you like it and maybe come up with some useful ideas. It’s a German Punk c0ck called Atze Fratze and he’s the lead singer of Die Kaputtschniks. Sort of, at least…

AlienBoy.jpg

He’s a little shy and not yet ready to visit / invade our planet. He’ll get some teeth when he´s older, though, and more refined ears. This one was largely a quest in seeing how far I can push Keyshot’s material system to create the most striking skin I could come up with on a first try. And taking the dull feedback level here into account, I want to take the opportunity to congratulate myself on having created such an awesome jawdropping material and understand your silent admiration.

This is a contact sheet with 3 different versions of the same model I created in ZBrush. It´s a personal work for a client. Her daughter interestingly studies maths and wrote a paper about the Riemann space and texture mapping so maybe I´ll get in touch with her since we all need people like that
Please share your opinion about which version you prefer. They´re all not perfect and the final model is intended for 3d printing anyway. Left and right were rendered with VRay, the middle (and too glossy) one with Keyshot.

Is it my adhs or some evolutionary trait which is preventing this little dragon from becoming some gruesome big destroyer? Maybe the Targaryens know the answer.

This is Demona, female star of the 90s animation series “Gargoyles”. When she´s finished, she´s going to pose with Bronx, whose beginning stages you can see below
Demona_Wip2.jpgBronx.JPG

This is an Alien Girl I started two days ago and after I imported a test render in Photoshop, I got carried away a little with the post production and thought, I might take it to an almost finished level.AlienGirl_x1-w.jpg

This is the latest version of Demona. I haven’t really worked much on the model itself lately but gave her a pose and tried to come up with an interesting environmental hdr lighting setup that I created.

Demona.jpg

I didn´t have time to finish my alien girl but I continued adding some accessoires and now I also have an idea for the final image.

Caricature of Sylvester Stallone

Catmonster - A test of what the new Substance Painter can do

So I recently purchased Substance Painter and am still trying out some of the features. You can see what it is able to do in the rastas, for example, where I applied a Metal Substance and masked it. It is also much easier to control the height and specular information by simply painting in all these channels at once or adjust them individually. The rendering was done in Keyshot with minimal post production. So what you see is actually what comes straight out the render. Still have to work on the model, of course.

You is kinky?
Some dudes complained about the last sculpt being “undefined”. So I made this one to show my knowledge of anatomy. The last one - as I said before - was purposely meant to test Substance Painter and its features, so I didn´t care much about the forms. The makers of Substance Painter were very pleased about it and want to keep updated about the progress… Anyway, this critter here feels kind of kinky. Made from a bunch of ZSpheres, Dynamesh and the help of Transpose Master.
I will upload a timelapse making of soon.

I wanted to make a quick sculpt of a famous comic figure and decided to do Rocko from Rockos modern life. It only took me one day to finish him, fortunately. There are some things which could be improved but I call it done.

I recreated another classic comic figure. This time, it’s Bugs Bunny.
