Interesting to see someone uses it for the creation of plants. Great job.
Did you do the painting/texturing in Sculptris too?

Hey Gen. I am speechless (almost!) I can't think off the top of my head of anyone that has done a better plant in Sculptris
They say time is the fire in which we burn. Quick! Someone get a fire extinguisher!

@Tartan - the only plants here are those pumpkins for the Halloween contest (for the newcomers, sometimes there are "sculpt off" challenges that usually never lead to anywhere, nor have a prize nor a clear winner, nor a definitive closing date even )

    @gendragon - awesome work.

Default New Plant Ivy and Mushroom

    Hello everybody!
I'm here again with new plant model created in Zbrush and Sculptris!
Even mapping process used in Sculptris, then only needed to use
the "Decimation master" ZBrush to lower the maximum polygon count
    without interfering in the mapping.

I decided to spend time with plants, it was getting boring seeing my scenes without adequate vegetation. Many of them were freebies.
I hope to share some plants for free to you soon!
Thanks again for looking and comments!

Great job, I like te textures. Is the grass a bitmap or ZBrush-Fibres?

Another question: why aren't you using a dedicated plant-editor software for creating plants like with for example Xfrog, OnyxGarden, Speedtree, Plant Factory or NgPlant? The advantage would be that these software can generate the same plant over and over again, but with somewhat different features and procedural or fractal accuracy, resulting in different individual plants but belonging to the same species.

Here an example of mine made with Xfrog and rendered in Vue:

Hi Gendragon, like your works as well! Especially the last one with background. Are you going to do bigger scenes with more content, for example an old ruin overgrown by plants or sth like that?

    Hello Rolf Maeder! : D
Answering your question, the grass textures are with the displacement map applied on a small mapped terrain.
As for plant-editor software for creating plants, you indicated, are expensive for me and I do not have 3DSMax, and my Cinema 4D Release 9 is one that can not be updated because it is "Not for Resale". Briefly, I am a freelancer who relies on partnership with other artists GC to finish a product ready more elaborate.

    Great plant Rolf!

Thanks for your answer. I am not sure if you noticed that NgPlant is totally free? I have seen a lot of people doing great plants with this piece of software. I am in a Facebook Group which dedicates to 3d plant software and so I noticed that.

3D - Plantdesignergroup, you may have to ask for permission to enter the group in the case you are interested.

    Hello Frankyn! Welcome! : D

Yes, I already have some things ready this type!
I can only send you the image as an example, because the link would link directly to the store and the product that contravenes the laws of the forum!
    Thanks for asking!
