I'm trying to develop the habit of working all parts of the model without focusing on one area too long.
It's been working out well and helps to tie the various elements together sooner rather than having an awesome
pair of pants with the roughed out shirt. Sunday will be a good day to continue on with this one.
Chugging along, I had some time to build a little more and settled the armor in with the pants. Pushing for this sculpt to be over by tomorrow night.
I finished up the clothing and accessories and started in on the skin redesign. I'm going for an Okami cloudy look with the fur so that I didn't have to bother with fur. It wasn't till today that I realized this would have to be a retopologized game piece with UV maps so now I'm glad I went in this direction. I'm making a mental log on which pieces I want to touch when I go for the damage pass later on.
I like how the face is coming along. Also the folds on the torso are great, especially the sleeves!
My only crit would be that I find the pose too static currently.
@nagulov: thanks man, good call on the pose.
I'm just about satisfied with the face and will then spread that flavor to the ears and hands, then it's off to Topogun
for a while.
My entry into the Game Artisan's contest. Since it was a game res mesh, I used Jimbo to explore the
Toolbag I've been hearing so much about.
This turned out great! I don't remember seeing this when I voted...did you get this in?
@sarakawa: thanks man, I missed the deadline by an hour. But I did get a great new piece and a few new tools at my disposal.
Bright side.
