Hi everyone,
here reconstructions Utahraptors project “Operation Raptors” Zoo de Bordeaux-Pessac in France.
If you want, I’ll post more details about the making of.
All modeled in ZBrush, texture in ZBrush and Photoshop, ZBrush BPR rendering and final compositing in Photoshop.
I hope you enjoy
Excellent,de plus c’est du tout Zbrush et photoshop!
Tu devrais exposer aussi sur Zbrush France !
Excellent, more it’s all ZBrush and Photoshop!
You should also expose ZBrush France !
Hi Marc,
Some of your images are broken. You must upload them in attachement, not doing a drag and drop in the text editor.
I’ll go to the Zoo to check that in “real life” since it’s close to my house And I’ll try to call you soon!
O_o Thanks Thomas.
that looks great!!
nice textures
I just saw that you’ve been in Pessac few days ago… you should have called me!
Do you have some ZBrush screenshots to share with us?
Thank you > marianosteiner & Chalian
Totyo, this is true.
We had a lot of work on the site.
I return to Bordeaux soon. I will contact you at that moment.
I worked 7 months of rebuilding Utahraptors 3 with two paleontologists:
Dr. J.Sébastien Steyer/France & James Kurkland/Utah
Here are some pictures of the preliminary studies
I hope you enjoy
Very cool! Its very interesting and Ive always wondered what dinosaurs actually looked like. I mean I know what we think they looked like, but things like the raptor’s face as compared to the skull I can see where the skin looks to be stretched over the bone and pockets of the skull, but what if that was actually some other sensory organ or maybe some sort of cartilage structure like a nose or ear that left no remnants through all the millions of years. A lot of reptiles and amphibians have bone structures that after having only seen the skull you might never realize there are venom sacks or inrared sensing pit organs. Even a human skull with the large nose opening wouldnt immediately make you think there was a nose or cartilage attached to it, had you never actually seen a human face.
Very cool sculpts!
Thanks erocked
The expert comments are welcome. I’ll talk about your expertise to my scientific advisors
lol, Im no expert, just something ive wondered. Great sculpts!
Love the skull and the leg prints!! You guys plan on printing entire skeleton?
Wow!
Wow! what kind of material/3D printer was used to make those?
