Another update of the render in Marmoset, really need to get to work on the eyes next any suggestions?
Looks awesome!
As for the eyes, they don't look like natual round orbs to me, but more flat. And, the two irises don't seem to be positioned perfectly symmetrical to one another with there being less negative space between the right iris over the left.
Plus, the iris' just seem to be pushed too close towards the center, or possibly just the right eye. That's just what I'd say anyway.
Otherwise, lookin great.
Thansk man, i tweaked the oration size and other things like you suggested good spot btw totally didn't see the bozz eyed-ness (is that a word?), i basically re modeled and textured the eyes and played around with a setup in marmoset with a cornea spec later and a under layer for the color and spec on the iris and a AO.
Also added a little tranparent water layer at the bottom of the eye.
Update for today, tweaked eyes and hair and skin and just general tweaks.
He looks good, but the likeness is not quite there.
Im im no artist but when I've struggled to get a likeness I've found the best way is to get the ZBrush pose as close to a reference as possible, then either use photoshop or make ZBrush see through and have your sculpt over the reference. I even put the sculpt over reference in Photoshop and try releasing bits of the sculpt to see what bits make the difference. It's normally the eyes
what at I think I can see without dong this is...
teh shape of the eyes don't look quite right.
his brow is furrowed, but the brow line isn't lowered enough.
The indentation of his temple looks too severe
the curve of his forehead doesn't look sloped backwards enough
his mouth looks a little too wide
and the lips don't look like the curve back in hep is head enough.
Keep ep at it, he's definitely in there
Oh, and the chin doesn't look wide enough
So here's a final update for a whiel, ill leave it as it is, but ill probbaly revisit it soon and play around with somethings.
