twf152 - thanks, actually it's nothing special. I used a simple vray material with no special adjustment.
just changed the color, reflection and glossiness.
for the lighting, i used 2 Vray lights, a big one for the key light and a smaller one with more intensity for the rim light.

    Thanks much, I appreciate it!

    *EDIT*

I Just wanted to mention that it seems like I was using too many lights in my scene, which washed out the shadows. I also never though about changing the size of the lights which also improved the look.

I'm using Maya Mental Ray instead of Vray, but a lot of the basics carry over, so thank you.

    Default Zipper

Yo that is so excellent! Not only perfection, but has great character and personality. Love the textures!
The only thing that makes me feel qualified to critique this is to congratulate you on flipping that zipper in the first image!
But now I feel bad for pointing out something you already fixed! lol

    Great job!

    Default Guy with stick

Arash, one more thing...on this last image I think it's really interesting that with so much detail and quality textures in the model that you actually used sculpted hair (beard)! It looks amazing. Subtle and rich surface work. Love your work!

    Default Nice one

Wow, that VRay render really brings some depth to your amazing ZBrush character.
If only 3dprinters could pick up all the details it would look great as a 12inch figure on your desk.

Seeing all that incredible art on Zbrush central I wonder is it all a kind of self-expression of an artist we all need sometimes? Done during weekends or free time?

I ask because once I started to work in gamedev specifically and especially for foreign (US based) companies I am no more able to show anything without written permission , blah blah , before or post-release. It have got even more strickt once I started to work from home.

So I am curious if people negotiate special conditions in their contracts to be able to show their art?
