This is actually an update of an image i submitted recently. I looked back at it and realised I'd rushed the final stages and i thought that was kind of shame. Glad i decided to go back to it, think I've made a real improvement!

Very nice. It has a painterly quality to is especially at a smaller size.

How did you do the lashes, if I may ask? I haven't been able to get that kind of realism.

    i actually used this plug-in:

    http://3docean.net/item/gmh2-hair-sc...=phungdinhdung

It uses polygon planes set up maya hair... i originally bought it to try and do full hair but i didn't like the results.

Thanks for the info. I just discovered GMH2 only works with Maya. I'm rendering with VRay in 3DS Max. If you're curious, click on my gallery. There's a render of just facial hair. The lashes are so sad...

Nice work. She reminds me of Anna Paquin, or Claire Danes.

@bobsparks - hey, that's not a bad start at all. Even though i had that plug-in i found it useful to grab a big close up picture of an eye, then zoom right in on the eye in my scene, and just tweak it till it matched the reference. I think if saw people saying they sometimes do them manually (with polygon cones). Think that's what I'd do without the plug-in.

@ webhead - My girlfriend say the same : )

    Thanks for the kind comments
