About Pinshape
We are a Mountain View based startup company that is creating a premier 3D printing marketplace. We are focused on making it simple to find great 3D printed products from the industry’s best designers (exclusive, manually approved designer pool) and allow people to print designs at home on your own printer, or have our professional print service print and ship them to their door. We are a combination of Etsy, Pinterest and iTunes for 3D printing.

We’re different than the other people out there right now for a few important reasons:

  1. We allow downloads, streaming AND a professional print service with 35+ materials
  2. We are hardware agnostic - we want to support all 3D printers, not just one we sell
  3. We are focused on printability - every model has to be printable through our service to be sold or shared
  4. We have an exclusive design community- we manually review and approve each designer to ensure quality of the community

The launch of the contest will coincide with our site redesign, which you can see some previews of here: https://dribbble.com/dembsky/projects/214336-Pinshape

We are part of Batch 9 of the 500 Startups accelerator program.
