I would really love to print a nice sculpt so if you have something to give away it would be awesome. It can print parts in different colors so if you have something with layers it could be really cool. I guess maybe we could also send a copy via mail if not to big Send me pm if interested
congrats to your new printer. as far as i know this machine is settled in the far upper price segment ?
please don´t get me wrong - the people in this forum work very hard and practice for years to be able to create objects and models with such a great software like zbrush.
maybe i just got your post down the wrong pipe, but it doesn´t sound like it is meant as a paid job ? - correct me if i´m wrong.
but the text passage "maybe we can send a copy if not too big" made me think so.
the whole world is going crazy with the word "3d printing".
all they forget is, that no printer, as good it may be, can print without the people creating and working hard to create content for it.
3d is not just a hobby - it´s a passion and requires a lot of hard work.
a word to the artists here in this forum:
if you are willing to send models "4free" - ok, go on - but before that, i highly recommend watching this:

and think about the value you, as a professional 3d artist have.
sorry for the offense, but to be honest, this makes me really angry.
pay the artist - treat the artist and the work with respect - and we will be good friends.
apparently there´s enough budget if your company can afford an objet500.

ps.
also quote: "something with layers" - of course i understand what you mean.
-> you mean 3d models that are textured, painted or ship with some sort of color information.
please ! for god´s sake:
learn 3D - or at least the basics or the basic terminology.
Hi! Maybe I was vague or something but it is not to offend anyone.
The only thought I had is that alot of people have done really nice things in zbrush. Of course there are tons of hours behind each sculpt. We have a brand new expensive printer and it would be nice to see what it can do. I myself am working with solidworks CAD-modeling so I will only print simple industry stuff. I am however interested in surfaces and zbrush is the best tool for it
I just wanted to see if someone where interested in trying out their model in a really good printer and at the same time perhaps recieve their own copy. The only thing we would do with this model is to put it in a shelf so people can see the potential of the printer.
With layers I mean printing invidual parts instead of 1 single model. The printer can print in different colors and materials.
You could have a body in one color and perhaps some tubes around a model in transparent plastic. Endless possibilities.
Again, the post had nothing to with "throw a model at me, its very easy to do so you can pick your best". It's about any artist who would love to perhaps feel and touch their own creation in a far better machine than those cheap ones that are "ok"
I think the "we'll only be putting it on the shelf' was the point cosmic.ollie was trying to make. It sounds like showing the Monalisa as an example of the potential of paint. I get it, and would even be interested, but not for a 'maybe' we'd send you a copy of the model. Although, I tend not to do stuff with texture information on it so that wouldn't do thoug
