    Default First Post- Character Design

    Hi,

I am new to Zbrush as well as Zbrush central, so please pardon any mistakes.

I a creating a character concept in which I have come to a point where I can no longer decide whether its coming along fine or not.So I will be really grateful if someone will give feedback on my work.

After looking at so many awesome posts on this forum my hands were shaking while uploading my work. It took a lot of courage in doing so . Please guide.

    Thanks a lot

    Hey Ash !

    1st off cool character!

I Love the back of the human side of this creature. At 1st glance i personally see scale issues with in the arms and head Aswell as Anatomical issues within the pit/elbow region of the arm. I also disagree with the choice of thinning out the waist area after choosing a barrel chest ribcage. I also think the back side of the Crab/scorpion side of his shell could be reworked, I suggest either going to a Sub-d 1 And just hitting that Move brush on the shell with out symmetry Or taking the standard brush with a spray stroke and making some gnarled forms. Or a less destructive and more evolutionary way to generate variations would be to send that sucker into photoshop and liquify it on some layers and make several ideations. All personal opinion but i like how this guy looks !

    Have fun !
