    Default Peter Mckinstry - ZBrush

I am a UK based concept artist and illustrator, I've been using ZBrush for a little over a year. I rareley get a chance to really use it for long periods, it's mainly in between jobs, so i still have lots to learn. It has been great fun so far, here is a selection of my ZBrush play time.

Very nice work on that starship, Peter! As a "mech-head", I'm in love with it, and hope to be able to craft out something like that as I continue to gain more experience with ZBrush. The greeblies on those exposed engines are gorgeous!

...You know you're a mech geek when you find yourself using the same words on machines as you would on women.

thanks for your comments, the ship really grew out of the engines as they were the first thing... i was surprised by the amount of detail i was able to retain after decimating, although the mesh at the very front on the wing sections is a bit messy

    more hard surface practise

You certainly have your own voice to sing with! Good work.

I'd love to see some close-up of those engines. It looks you had a lot of fun with them!

O, btw: Had a look at your site and bookmarked it for later slow visit. Lots to see there is.

    Thanks.
And be shure I prefer workspaces and prototypes to showroom glitter!
So no worry about details not yet being perfect.

You really went for it, didn't you?

River Song's Alpha Meson Blaster (which I originally designed for a character in Doctor Who episode 'Gridlock')
