    Default Ronnie Riddik - SketchBook

Hi guys, that's my first thread on ZbrushCentral, i'm glad to join this community full of amazing artists . That's my sketchbook where i will upload all my wips and finished works. Hope you like 'em.

That's my last piece, King Of Ancient Graves.
The concept it's based on Tomb Kings army, i used Zbrush for the organic and hard surface sculpt, Mari and Photoshop for texturing, Maya and Vray for shading and rendering.

    Default King Tomislav

Something new that i finished just today !
It was my entry for a challenge where i was invited to, but they invited me too late and i didn't have enough time to finish him.
I'm not satisfied with the head and i will fix it with a new one, i just need to do something else for a couple of weeks before to make a new one.

Quick test render just to see how the skin, caruncle, eye shaders work.

Still working with shaders, almost done i guess.
That's the first time ever that i really work with the SSS, i'm quite satisfied with the result.
What i'm really tryin to understand is to use the right range of colours. I noticed that i always saturated and used a lot of warm colors and a lot of scattering, now i'm finally getting familiar with the skin and subdermal colour palette.
I'm not Dan Roarty but i'm working to getting there !

I'm going to adjust anatomy and shapes soon, it's a quite difficult face

    Okay, i guess it's done.
I wanna spend next months learning to sculpt likeness and mastering Hair & Fur.
I always been quite good with Zbrush but i always used it for hard surface. Now i guess it's time to learn organic modeling.
I find that it's very interesting the texturing and shading process. I noticed that i'm starting to see things and i've never noticed before, and i'm understanding the right colour palette and to limit the amount of warm colours. I used Shave & Haircut for this one, but i think that i will use fibermesh for the next one. S&H it's a cool software, but the integration with Vray it's terrible and docs about it are very limited.
That's the first time ever that i use maya Hair & Fur with Vray hair mtl, and even if it doesn't give the controls of S&H , it gives an amazing result with Vray.

    Default King Tomislav 2.0

King Tomislav was my entry for The Game Challenge.
I've been invited to join the challenge too late and i didn't have enough time to finish the entire model, the original head was quite crappy, i had not enough time to work on it and the final result was terrible. So in the last two weeks i decided to update the model with a new head and a new hair system. Jeff Hardy is my main base for face and expression.

Good idea -- historic character, part robot. :-)

I'm liking his costume, and his metallic arm.

I got tilted a bit when i first saw "King Tomislav", as that is my nick here and in many other forums. Like: "what the... why"... Then i finally realized that you made historical character from ww2 period (My nick is referring to King Tomislav from the year 910).... Great job sir as i may say.
