Thought I'd post this as it's a bit different to the normal Zbrush use. End of last year we were commissioned to produce images for the front cover of the Argos catalogue. The images will also be used across web, tv & direct marketing. Argos is a leading UK retailer for goods ordered via catalogue/web/mobile in the UK.

The brief required vacuum formed images of the companies new product ranges that they are now offering. What sounds like a simple task for 3D software to achieve actually turned out to be quite tricky, especially in the time required. We looked at 'draping' digital cloth over the products among other solutions. What saved the day and gave us control and speed over the job was Zbrush and in particular Dynamesh combined with standard modelling brushes. Layout & colouring of the products were provided by another company.

The products were built in a separate package and Goz'ed in and Dynameshed to a cube so they could be combined into one mesh and sculpted to the correct form. WIP below. Detailing was also then added in ZB.

We also created 24 exploding versions of products for the separate sections of the catalogue, a selection below.
