The Spirit Tree

This was a piece of fan art I wanted to try out from the MMORPG Runescape, which I actually used to work on at Jagex.
Thought it would be fun to see what a next gen version might look like.
As well as using fibermesh I also used Thomas Luft’s Ivy generator.
Later composted in photoshop.
This isnt a new piece of work, but i’m updating my account.

He’s looking very gentle. Overall rendering is a pleasure to watch.

Ivy generator I know from 3ds max, but there are more versions out there, aren’t they??

Everything turned into something wich is a pleasure to watch. That’s for sure.

Everything was rendered in ZBrush and composited in photoshop.
Same for Koba below with a few layers and dirt passes.
I used Thomas Luft Ivy generator on the Spirit Tree.

I did this some time ago, but never posted about it here until now.
Some months after the Koba Sculpt above I got my Flashforge printer and begun some projects.
Small resin cast Koba sculptures were among the first things I did.
I resculpted Koba’s fur and placed him on a classical bust plinth.
3D printed him and proceeded to make moulds and cast polyester resin copies.
The results were very nice.
I learnt a lot in the process.
