Default My first ZBrush image :)

    Hi!

Not as good as the wonderful things posted here, but still excited because this is my first ZBrush image and wanted to share it.
I did this as a way to force me to understand the software. Still confused as you have no idea, but liking it nore every day.
Thanks to Akelarre for explaining me about applying and editing materials.

Pikachu`s base mesh was done from the sphere in Sculptris as somehow I feel more comfortable with it for basic sculpting, the rest is ZBrush and BPR with passes compossition and adjustments in Photoshop.

What a great first piece. Since you are feeling still confused.

Have you had a chance to watch any of the videos in ZClassroom?
    http://pixologic.com/zclassroom/

We've also started a segment called AskZBrush where we answer Twitter questions from the user base. This is on YouTube here,
    https://www.youtube.com/user/ZBRUSHatPIXOLOGIC

The Getting Started Guide may also help
    http://pixologic.com/zbrush/getting-started/

Keep posting those images. Really impressive work.

    Great!
I wonder of render and material settings and passes from zbrush.
    Best!

Cutest Pikachu ever !! You need at least 1 more subdivision level for that rock, and it will be perfect.
And this guy is a glutton, he's aiming for new apples when the one in his hand is not even finished hahaha

Quite a bit actually... Here is the raw render so you get an idea. There`s still too much I need to learn in order to get something better out of the box.

Thanks! Yes, those have saved me big time!

Yeah, I regret the rock... I don`t remember if the crack for the alpha was pixelated or if I reduced the resolution at some point... I think it was the second. I was working on this since a while, I made the rock some time ago and can`t remember why I got it that way.

    Thank you!
First I tried following a tutorial by Rick Baker that is around somewhere if you google it. Looked incredible in his image, but not that much in mine... But still gave me an idea of how to do it. Im sharing here my fibermesh presets if someone finds any use for them. I did like 6 layers with those at different colors and adjustments. Then applied the smooth brush to make some areas shorter and thinner.
One thing I noticed, is I was never able to comb fibers. The comb brushes just distorts the fibers really bad for me. Sometimes it looks good frm the angle I`m working, then I rotate and it`s a mess. No idea what I`m doing wrong. But here they are anyway. They are pretty basic, but maybe someone new as me can make use of them.

Here are the materias too. Again, I don`t know much about it, may contain errors and stuff, but here they are anyway.

I tried to keep it simple, experimenting with settings and stuff... This is what I came up with.

Thank you everyone for the comments!
