    Default Adam Skutt course

    Hi everyone!

I´m taking a class with Adam Skutt at Game Art Institute, and I was not posting any wips here yet.

But I thought better and I think it is good to show wips and the progress in the character we are doing.

So, I will post everything I have done so far.

First, the concept that is by Richard Lyons.

For week one, I started blocking the body, using Nickz_humanMaleAverage tool as base mesh.

Week two, I focused more in the head, changing secondary forms, and trying to find the likeness.

Week tree I made some clothing in marvelous.

    Default Adam Skutt course

So, for week four, I started doing some secondary forms on clothes, blocked some hair and beard, and added some guns (just a really rough base mesh)

And here is week five. Made a first pass of terciary details in the head, and some details on clothing.

    Default Adam Skutt course

    Week six.

Here I focused more in the head, making some detailing in the hair and bear ( I will post a breakdown that I made in the next post ), some tweaks on the secondary forms also.

Week seven was a more technical week, topology and uvs, done all in maya.

    Default Adam Skutt course

And here is a little breakdown that I made, following an advice from Ryan Kingslein, showing my process to make hair and beard of the model.

I hope it is usefull for someone.

Are you base yourself only on Ed Harris. Do you want likeness? Because I find that you did a great job so far but after looking at one side view of him I think you could improve the silhouette of the skull and forehead

That side reference is from Run All Night with Liam Nelson

    Hi Scote!

My main reference is Ed Harris, but my focus is a good character, once the course is not a likeness one.

But thank you for your feedback, I will see what I can improve on my model.

And thanks for your time searching for references!! The side one is a rare in the internet!

But you already have a solid character so keep it up for the rest
