Hi everyone, long time follower here at ZBC.

First time posting so here goes!

Here is my realtime character model of Mark Watney from Ridley Scott's "The Martian". This was a really fun piece working from the amazing costume design by Janty Yates. Loved the book by Andy Weir and just had to put this character in PBR.

Character was blocked and high res sculpted in ZBrush. Retopology done with quad draw in Maya, UV's in UV layout. Baking in XNormal and Knald. Texturing in Substance Painter 2 with some tileable substances from Substance Designer. Realtime rendering in Marmoset Toolbag 2 and clay renders done in Keyshot.

Character comes in around 110k triangles. Best suited for next gen and cinematics.
