Oh hey. Look at that. 4r8 is out.

*5 minutes later*. Painless installation, no issues. So nice not to have to wait for email links any longer.

Public service reminder: As with all Zbrush upgrades, remember to read the instructions, disable any running anti-virus, and run the installer as an administrator (if on windows). Always use the full installer--the auto updater is a recipe for a borked install.

Off to play with my Gizmo!...I could have maybe phrased that better....

Public Service Announcement: The dynamic boolean + deformer combo is BLOWING MY *&!%**# MIND.

Every time I think I know how to approach something in Zbrush, a new update comes out and reshuffles everything with a whole new set of options. I thought this was mostly a useability update, but those two feature working in tandem are a very powerful new tool.

*Minor nitpick: I can't quite seem to duplicate *every* maneuver I can pull off with the transpose line functions with the new gizmo, at least when it comes to extrusion. I suppose that's why the option to use them is still in the program.

Thank you Pixologic. This is another game changing update! I`ve been waiting for usable high poly booleans from any software manufacturer for years. And now its there. Hard surface modelling will change a lot.
