Default Information parsing on ZTL files

    Hi guys,

Is there any current way to parse ZTL files in order to obtain information such as polycount, layers, subTools, etc? We would like to be able to create a script to get this information from the ZTLs without having to open up the file.

    Thanks!

No, as far as I know there's no way. ZTL is a closed binary format.

hey Marcus, in XMD toolbox plugin, the author was able to grab the thumb of the brush directly from a ZBP file.
Any idea about the way it's possible to reproduce that ?

    Hi Nicolas,

No, I don't know. I think the thumbnail is stored in the file with compression (probably RLE) but there's no direct way provided to extract it. You can use any ZBrush file as the image in a Note or NoteIButton though.
