Deformation Modeling

Hello everyone.
I’m in the process of exploring new functions I recently discovered lurking deep inside Zbrush.
Here are some result-examples of this exploration using only deformations found in that sub-palette.
Workflow : Create simple “base mesh” + Zbrush Deformations.

Exquisite noodlings. I love the crab like form:+1:

Here’s more noodling floozie…

Doodling-Rendered.jpg

Object A was made with ArrayMesh ( 12 simple cubes).
Object B was made by doodling with object A ( ArrayMesh, deformation etc…)
Stretching object B, I get object C.
Object D is obtained by rearranging C ( Symmetry…)
Object E is obtained only using the deformation palette on object D.

Very nice:+1:

@ B.F. As you may have observed, I am mainly into building shapes, geometric shapes etc… using tools unique to ZBrush.

I've built all kinds of these ( dozens ) and my main problem is to build a suitable environment around these to make them "presentable". The object in the following image ( derived from the image in my previous post ) is a good example I have with this problem... I wish I had your talent for building entire/complete scenes. Thanx for looking.

Very interesting exploration of tools!! The results are amazing. I understand the problem you mention, but IMHO the objects are so unique that they can be perfectly presented alone (as if they were sculptures).

@ Marzalet Thank you much for the kind words and encouragement.

I agree with Marzalet, the images are fascinating to look at as they are. Perhaps try more Material exploration.

@sadidus Materials and texturing are surely things I need to improve.
Thanx for the reminder and the kind words.

One of the first image I made using the method described in this thread.

A really lovely image.:+1:
I could get lost in all the roads , the bays and inlets, the twisted roots and the strange cities.

Thank you for all your encouragements Mr. Top Row guy…
