Informative! And beautiful print. My question is what do the LEDs do as far as after drying and could you use other forms of a big bucket and lights? :}
(I am new to the process of 3D printing, but would love to learn more! Especially post-print.)

Hey there, thanks for the kind words on the video.

You will need a UV light source around 405nm wavelength to cure any uncured resin on the print, this will make the surface hard and dry allowing for priming and painting, otherwise the print will remain sticky.

You can use the ‘SUN’ a free source of UV light, or a cheap nail curing station will also work.

Here is a video showing you how to build a curebox for >$30. https://youtu.be/mahcMOpeZkM

The stronger the light source the less time you will need to cure the printed part.

If you have other questions just ask :slight_smile:

Thank you for sharing your process. BTW, speed up your video makes your comments to follow :slight_smile:

I just tried Resinaway yesterday for the first time, but I think an ultrasonic cleaner is now not anymore an option. I just need to find one which can fit the Form2 prints (14.5x14.5x17 cm…)

About tools to remove the supports, I advise the (ultra expensive) Ultimate Nipper from Gand Hand Tools which is a Japanese tool for model kits: https://hlj.com/product/GODSPN-120
And to sand models, the Gand Hand Tools sanding sponges are really the best ones : https://www.1999.co.jp/eng/10279292 (different grits and thickness are available). The alternative are 3M ones which are thicker, but you can cut them to fit your needs: https://amzn.to/2NpMeYc

Sorry about that. I just thought 40min was way too long for this kind of video :slight_smile:
I didnt have the time to sit down and plan a short version or to edit it.

Love resinaway, one thing I will be doing with the new bottle is to do a prewash with it in another container, scrubing off most of the uncured resin before putting it in the US Cleaner, that way I won’t discolor the resinaway in the US cleaner… this is vital for clear prints.

Thanks very much for sharing clean up tools you use.
