Giant Ubaii

A character head I did recently during a course I gave to many students at Nayzak (Animation School in Egypt). The main purpose was to demonstrate the whole process of making a Realistic CG character head. I had a lot of fun doing this actually and one thing to mention I was inspired by the giant works of the awesome artist Tom Newberry. Also Texturing XYZ displacement maps was used in this one. All sculpting and texturing was done in zbrush, Xgen IGS was used for hair and Alshaders for the skin and hair. Rendered in Maya Arnold.mohamed-alaa-r01n.jpgmohamed-alaa-r06.jpgmohamed-alaa-r04.jpgmohamed-alaa-r02n.jpgmohamed-alaa-r05.jpgmohamed-alaa-r03n.jpg

You’ve certainly captured the spirit of Tom Newberry’s work:+1:
I hope your students were paying attention to their Master.
